Q: How to respond to Christmas cards sent to my deceased grandparents?
Both of my grandparents passed away in May and right now I am living in their house, fixing it up. A few people who obviously hadn't heard sent Christmas cards. I didn't want to do this during the holidays, but should I write them letters explaining the situation?

A: i would definitely respond to these people. send back the cards with a little note explaining what happened.

Q: What are some uses for old Christmas Cards?
I receive several Christmas cards each year, and I would like to find a clever, crafty way to recycle them. I remember seeing a box sewen together with yarn, and old cards, years ago. Does anyone have the directions for this, or any other ideas to recycle old cards?

A: Ah, being the queen of recycle, I save all of my Christmas cards to reuse them the next year. I always try to get a couple more uses out of things before I recycle or throw them out. I save the handled bags from boutique and department stores throughout the year. Then I cut the front off the the cards to stick over the store logo with double sided tape or stick glue and use the bags to deliver bags of goodies during the holidays to neighbors, the post man, trash people, etc. They can also be used over the store names on shirt and gift boxes from stores, too, and it saves you from wrapping the gift. I just add a ribbon.

Q: Who should I send Christmas cards to 8 months after our wedding?
We got married this year on leap day and ended up sending out over 100 thank you cards. Should we also use this list for Christmas cards or is this over-kill? Usually I send out 20-30 cards. Maybe I should just stick to the usual list. I hand make all my Christmas cards, so I'd rather do 20-30 than 100!

A: Stick to the 20 or 30. Especially if you hand make them. I like to hand make mine too. You could also just go buy some cards for other people and then just send the handmade ones to the people you usually do. Since I have gotten married I have a few new people to consider, but they seem to enjoy the store bought cards. Probably because my husband was never into sending cards at all..lol.

Q: Would you pay someone to address and mail your Christmas cards for you? What would be a good price?
I know a bunch of people don't have time to write, address, and mail out Christmas cards. What would be a good price to pay for someone to do this for me?

A: it depends on if they supply the cards or if you furnished them yourself.

Q: Where can I donate my UNUSED Christmas cards?
I have dozens of new, unused Christmas cards that I've accumulated over the years (mainly from buying them in bulk or from receiving them in the mail from places like the HSUS). Does anyone know of a charity or organization that collects them or would be able to use them? I know the situation is a little different because they aren't used - so using them to make new cards would be redundant. I've considered recycling, but it seems a waste if there's someone who could use them for something else!

A: Take them to a local Nursing Home. Or Hospital . Those people can not get out to buy them. & most cannot afford them in the nursing home. Even if they cannot afford the postage, & they never get sent , they feel like they have given a gift! To ensure they are sent you can give them & go back, pick them up & send them for them. I realize Postage is high , so you could go out 30 minutes a day & ask for donations even a dime at a time will help. These people were YOU and ME At one point in their lives. & had Friends & family & now they are so forgotten. & need our help. You can make them feel wonderful for Christmas! & So can Your Neighbors! If this is not feasible for you , Call the nursing home & ask who NEVER receives a card , Or HAS Never had a visitor & ask if you donate them & , will the staff make sure to give these people a card & all sign it ! GOD BLESS YOU ! These people are People too ! & their Families do not care anymore .;; They need to know someone Does! God knows I do ! What about you? I know you do , so get in the true Spirit Of Christmas & Give from the HEART!

Q: where can i find The Office Christmas cards?
I love the show The Office, and would love to get some The Office Christmas cards for my co-workers. Many of my co-workers are fans of the show too, so I think this will be a big hit.

A: Here is a card from Hallmark, it is cute and funny! http://www.hallmark.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10051&storeId=10001&partNumber=1PGC1634_DK&rank=P1R1S&CatIDsList=147551%3b149051&searchValue=the+office&fromSearch=true

Q: How should I word Save the Dates/Christmas Cards to combine the two?
I haven't been able to figure out save the dates and realized that since I have to do Christmas cards anyways I might as well make it a 2 in 1 deal... I am doing pretty traditional christmas cards and wanted to add a magnet inside that says save the date but I want the wording on the card to somehow mention that we are newly engaged... HELP! I dont know what to do!?!

A: You do realize that the weight of the magnet will add to your postage cost? Why don't you just type out a half-page note on very pretty light parchment paper and tuck it inside the card. "Christmas 2008 will be extra special for us this year because we can finally announce that we're engaged to be married in Baton Rouge on June 11, 2009. Please save the date as invitations will be mailed in mid-April.

I'm trying to make some Christmas cards but where can I get the template?

Q: What do you think about sending anonymous christmas cards?
There's a guy at school I'm in love with, I'm really shy but I still want to wish him a merry christmas. Thanks to a little research, I found his address and want to send him anonymously a little Christmas Card. Would it come off stalkerish and creepy? I personally love getting greeting cards, but well... I don't know about this XD

A: It's anonymous, it's fine. He'll never know, right? I know if I got a christmas card fromm a ? person, I'd be flattered and overjoyed. It's not stalkerish or creepy at all, you are just wishing him a merry christmas.

Q: How much to charge for handmade christmas cards?
So, i am making about 5o christmas cards for a neighbor and i was wondering how much to charge for each card...or everything all together

A: The general rule is to work out exactly what it costs to make them then double it. That is just a starting price to work with, if a lot of time and effort goes into them add a bit more.
