Q: Is there anybody in England alone at Christmas?
And getting no Christmas cards?
Would you like an Email Christmas card from some of the nice caring people on Yahoo Answers?
A: Yes il be on my own. On a run down estate in the north of England with no job, no money, the worry of being made homeless or being a victim of crime again in this screwed up mess of a country. Im sorry I don't really want an Xmas card because I just feel so bloody depressed I don't want to celebrate Xmas. But its a good thing that there are people like you around who actually care about people other than yourselves. God bless you, there should be many more like you.

Q: Would you send Christmas cards to relatives who you see only 2 or 3 times a year, and who never send YOU cards?
I don't send gifts to adult relatives, but send cards with hand-written notes to "catch up" on things since we don't see each other often. I NEVER get cards from them, and they are wealthy- so money is not the issue, and it hurts me that they don't send cards- especially since we don't exchange gifts. So should I continue to send them cards? They don't email or call either!
I don't feel good about updating them when they don't care enough to respond.
A: I send family members that I hardly ever talk to a card every year just to let them know I am thinking of them. I also never get anything in return, but I feel that I can't Control their actions but I can cont role mine. Keep sending them a card but don't wright them a long note.
Q: Does anyone still writes paper Christmas cards or do you do it all by email?
I still write Christmas Cards but get most of the Christmas Wishes by email :(
I used to love all those cards next to the tree.

I used to love all those cards next to the tree.
A: I still do real cards and most of my friends do too. Email cards arent quite the same- you cant stand them on your tables and mantlepieces in the same way. Merry Christmas!
Q: Does anyone still send Christmas cards?
If so, who do you send them to and do you get many in return?
It seems people are sending less and less cards over the last few years. I used to send cards to all my friends who I wouldn't see over the Christmas period. After hardly ever getting ones in return, instead receiving and email card or a text message on Christmas Day, this year I decided to only send to only a very few people who I know like to receive them.
I think it's sad because I really like to to write and send cards to people I haven't seen for a while and it's nice to receive a card in the post and have it be part of my decorations. Has internet and text done away with the Christmas card?
A: I do. I try to have them ready to send out the day after Thanksgiving. I did not have them ready that early this year though.
I have been sending out Christmas cards 25 of the 32 years that I have been married. I love sending them out. I have been receiving back fewer and fewer as the years of passed. With the price of postage I can see why. But it is my way of staying in touch with all my relatives and friends that I can not bear to lose contact with.
Samfan 12 I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Q: can anyone suggest a good electronic Christmas card service please?
I have a client who wants to send out electronic Christmas cards (via email) can anyone suggest one. I have come across ones in the past that every time you send one out you donate the cost of a paper card to charity.
A: try REGARDS.COM Free Greeting Cards , Have used them for a long time and service is first class.
Q: Sending a Christmas card to a email pal?
This year I made a good email friendship with a lady in Japan, weve mentioned in the past how it would be nice to exchange christmas cards, and exchanged addresses so we could do that. However she has had virus problems with her PC in recent weeks, which I might have inadvertantly caused, since when, she hasnt been in touch more than once. Should I still send the card or not? Im unsure whether she will now bother sending me one, and I wouldnt want to bother her. Equally if she is expecting a card I dont want to disappoint her. Today is the last day of posting to Japan.
A: She may be thinking in the same way as you are thinking.
I would also be as careful as your are.
If you are really wanting to send her one, take the initiative.
Q: Do you still get and send Christmas cards?
This morning I received the first card I've had since Christmas 2001 ! What a lovely surprise !! From a caring and kind Canadian dragon, a special person (I know we arent allowed to post names)
My relatives in Norway used to send beautiful cards, now they email - and I realized I dont even have addresses anymore for them, or for any of my friends. Just email addresses.
I know everyone is busy at this time of the year, but I think our society has lost something meaningful. I know my friend in Washington spends a lot of time picking out her email card, and she even buys them ! Most of us make do with the free ones, and its nice to get them too, but its still not the same is it?
I know too in my situation postage became a consideration as well when it came to sending out cards :-(
we have a new goldwing on the site?
A: Yes, I still get and send Christmas cards, as well as other types of cards throughout the year. I also get cards still, it's always very special to go to the mail box and have a card or letter there from a loved one. We also exchange cards at church, so I get several and hang them on the wall. We put the presents under these and take pics on the years I don't decorate, when we're going to be away for the holidays.
I agree that although e-cards are a nice thought, they aren't the same. Also sometimes when you send them they keep sending advertisements afterwards.
Hope your holiday season is wonderful!

Q: I like sending Christmas cards; would you like to receive one from me?
Tell me why you would like to receive a Christmas card from me, then also email me your mailing address.
I promise I'm not a creep or anything, and I won't send you junk mail. I'm just a regular guy with a nice home here in California, and I currently send out about 40 to 50 cards per year. I just like sending and receiving Christmas cards, and I thought I'd make some new aquaintances this way. So, if you would like to receive a Christmas card from me, tell me why and also email me your mailing address.
A: That is so nice of you. I'd love to get one, I'll send you one two. lol
I'll email you. Thanks for thinking of this.
Q: Do you send your Christmas and New Year Cards by post or by email?
I'm too lazy, email is easier!

A: Our world has gotten so impersonal. Getting a Christmas card in the mail is personal and gives me the warm fuzzies. It is just knowing someone took the time and effort to think enough about you to include you. Email...just click a few buttons and you are done. Weeee!
