Q: The Christmas cards-Don't you love those musical Christmas and holiday cards that play music when u open them?
I love musical Christmas cards and holiday cards, at Walgreens they have the name of the songs the cards plays when you open it, I have heard all kinds of themes and songs, like I love lucy friendship Happy days and more.

A: Yes, and have you seen the commercial with the older couple? They are in the car and the wife gives the husband a musical card...and they look back on their youth - he was in a band in the 80s with long 'band' hair. REO Speedwagon song - "I can't fight that feeling" Hilarious!

Q: About the War on Christmas, do you say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays? Do you send Christmas cards?
or Holiday cards? Do you open presents on Christmas morning or Holiday morning? And so and so on..........is political correctness totally out of control?

A: Yes. I am a Christan so Christmas to me is about Christ our lord. That's why i have a Christmas tree, i send out Christmas cards, i wish people a Merry Christmas, and i open gifts on Christmas Morn. I can't believe all this! They're taking the Christ out of Christmas!! Edit: So we can't say Merry Christmas because some people don't believe in Christ? What's next, telling me i'm required to learn Spanish because most of America's population is Hispanic?

Q: How many Holiday cards do you send out?
I mean to say Christmas cards but I want to include everyone who celebrates the winter holidays.

A: I think it is a waste of time and money. I do not send any. I receive some. Open and read them. Think "How Nice". And then think that they wasted their money on 1: the card. 2: the postage stamp. And wonder how many others they have sent out. After I open and read them they are tossed away and forgotten about. I can see maybe sending a card to someone who may be over seas. Better yet ...take the money you would spend on cards and postage. Make up a care package of cookies, candy, etc. and give it to a local organization that sends Christmas packages to our G.I.s overseas. Put a note in it that tells who ever that gets it. That you are proud of them. Call the people, that you normally would send cards to, and wish them a happy holiday personally.

Q: Have you made a bowl from Holiday Cards?
I cannot find a pattern I once saw - you take about 6 or so holiday cards, cut them into certain four sided shapes, and stich them together with yarn. One final 5 or 6 sided piece for the bottom and you have a simple bowl. It's probably a kid's craft, but I want to make one out of some vintage Christmas cards. Any source for this???

Q: What design is on your holiday cards this year? (e.g. Christmas cards)?

A: I have a picture of my German Shepherds on my Christmas cards*

Q: Bush Send out Christmas Cards. What Kind of Holiday Cards Would Hillary Send?
"Happy Jihad"???????? http://www.coxandforkum.com/archives/06.07.27.GlobalJihad-X.gif

A: TO: My lackeys (citizens of the US) HAPPY F*****G HOLIDAYS YOU IRRELEVANT PIECES OF TRASH! FROM: Hillary

Q: Are you keeping the old Christmas/Holiday traditions this year?
Will you be sending out Christmas/Holiday cards, by mail, the old traditional way?

A: Absolutely, that is how to send a card. If you send an e-card, it will be forgotten, ar maybe never opened. I just do not think there is a lot of warmth in an e-card.

Q: Would it be offensive to send my Muslim friend a Christmas/holiday card?
I think he'd get a kick out of it. On the front there's a picture of Bush in a suit, looking serious and the words: "People say my thoughts and words don't always match. So I was very careful to choose a Christmas card that, exactly and precisely, expresses my best wishes to you for a joyous holiday season." And on the inside: "Happy Birthday" Anyway, Muslims think of Jesus as a prophet right? Would it be totally inappropriate to send the card?

A: Na he will like it and if he has a sense of humor he wont care if its a holiday card

Q: What kind of Christmas cards do you like to send to ppl if you are not sure whether or not they celebrate?
I'll send nativity scene cards to ppl that I know are Christians. However, for the "question mark" ppl, I am hesitant to send "Happy Holidays" cards bc they might think that I don't celebrate Christmas (I do). OTOH, if I send a "Merry Christmas" card (even with a secular scene like a snowman, they might get bent out of shape. Your thoughts? BTW, you'd be surprised by the huge numbers of ppl in bigger cities who don't celebrate Christmas. In the midwest/southern smaller towns, everyone celebrates Christmas.

A: Send a card with a winter scene depicted on the front and wish them "happy holidays". That covers all of them, not just Christmas. And even if they don't celebrate anything at all, that doesn't mean that you can't wish them good tidings.

Q: Does a Christmas or Holiday card have special meaning to you?
Tell us about a special card if you have one!

A: yes, it means i have family and friends thinking about me. what i don't like is if they just sign there name at the bottom of the card, without addressing the top. (dear mary, etc)

Q: Should I give my therapist a holiday/christmas card?
not sure if it allowed or if that would be a stupid idea... just saying how much i appreciate her help

A: I wouldn't give my psychiatrist a Christmas card, but he's all... doctor-like and not that... warm, I guess. I don't feel 100% ccomfortable even talking to the man; if I gave him a card I'd feel pretty weird. Yet, if he/she is someone like my son's therapist, then yeah I probably would. The man sits there and tells us about his day and vents about the stresses of the office sometimes (I doubt he does this w/ everyone, me and my man are REALLY laid back). A month or so ago, we told him how much he's helped us and our son. Surprisingly, he says that when people tell him that he really doesn't understand how he could have helped so much. Apparently, he doesn't think he's doing much, like he's just 'doing his job'. I think this man would appreciate a card. If you decide to, make sure it's a "Holiday" card, unless you're 100% sure that your therapist is Christian (and then again, not all Christian demoninations celebrate Christmas... so stick w/ "Holiday"!) Edit -- don't write a paragraph about how much the woman means to you or how much she's helped. That may be a little too intimate for a therapist-patient relationship. A sentence, such as "Thank you so much for all you have helped me through" or something like that should do just fine.

Q: When is the appropriate time to send out holiday cards?
i want to give Christmas cards to family, friends, and neighbors this year but i am not sure when it is ok to do so. i would think it is still too early, so when is a good time?

A: Anytime in December will be fine. I like to get mine early so I can display them in my living room for awhile before I throw them away.

Q: Is it ok to give my high school teachers holiday cards?
I want to give all of my teachers christmas cards, but i dont want it to be too tacky or anything. and i dont want them to think that i am bribing them or anything because i am doing really well in their classes. i dont really want my classmates to see me doing this so should i just give it to them at the end of class?

A: Yes it is fine to give them cards. If you don't want the other kids to see then do it before class starts or at the end. I am sure they are going to love them.
