Q: small group christmas craft ideas please?
my small group (high school girls) is getting together friday afternoon to make and decorate christmas cookies and then have dinner, i need some ideas for a craft/project, either holiday themed or something else, in the past we have decorated prayer journals with magizines, any ideas, tips or thoughts please thanks God bless

A: I know of one that is really fun but it can take a bit of time so you may want to spread it out over the night. all you need is clear glass ornament balls, tempera paint, and ribbon. take the "lid" of the top of the ball and select a paint color. Then poor the paint into the ball, you don't want too much, just enough to swirl around to get a fun looking design (you also want there to be places without paint on them so other colors can show through as well) Once that layer is dry you can add another color and so on. once the ornament is completed, put the cap back on and tie the ribbon onto the lid so that you can hang it on your Christmas tree. Another fun thing to do would be to write a Christmas greeting or Bible verse on the outside of the ball with sharpie or use more tempera paint and a fine tipped brush. When doing this project i like to add some clear glitter paint first like gold or silver, it adds to the overall look of the ornament.

Q: Ideas for a Christmas craft contest?
My sister and I were debating who was more crafty and creative, so we have to make a Christmas craft and some of our friends/family have to judge it to see who's is the best. I need some help coming up with some ideas (she's also using the help of Y!A so I'm not cheating :p) I had an idea that I would put together like Christmas Handbook. It would include things like, a page all about elves. a page about reindeer, one for Santa, maybe one that explains about Christmas Spirit and maybe one about the Naughty/Nice list. Those are just some ideas i have. So anyways my questions are: What are some other creative Christmas craft ideas? What other pages would I include in my Christmas handbook? Anymore general ideas for the handbook? What do you think of the handbook idea?

A: By all means do a handbook, but make it come alive... if you have a page on elves, make a little elf to go with it. If you have Christmas cookies recipes, have some cookies, Santa could have a Santa hat, naughty and nice.. a garter...you could get the idea...;-)

Q: Christmas Craft Fair Ideas?
I need a unique and fun craft idea for a Christmas craft fair. A lady at my office really wants me to participate, but I have never really made Christmas crafts. I'm usually very good with coming up with ideas and putting things together, but I need ideas for this one! I need to give her a definite answer pretty soon and I'd like to have some ideas before I agree. Any useful websites and photos are greatly appreciated!

A: It depends on what crafts you like. You can do decorations, or gifts. For example if you sew, you could do pot holders and table runners. If you knit or crochet, dish cloths and scarves are popular. If you like beading, then any kind of jewelry will sell, as long as it doesn't look like something they could easily make for themselves. .

Q: hard core christmas craft ideas?
i want to make some christmas crafts for gifts, preferably something pretty cheap but nothing lame. i mean im looking for HARD CORE, CHEAP, and CUTE christmas crafts! i love the words hard core and christmas craft in the same sentence :)

A: Try Michaels Craft Store, or JoAnns Fabric. They have cheap dollar bins of different stuff, you may get ideas from on what to make. Or if you want to 'make' kits, like beaded necklaces and things like that, they have that too. And so does Walmart, in the craft department.

Have about a dozen empty bottles and want ideas on how to use them for Christmas.

A: You can purchase pre-made polymer clay canes at the craft or art supply store and slice them thinly to apply to the entire outside surface of the bottle then bake in the oven according to the package instructions. These make beautiful and very original vases or candle holders.

Q: I am doing a Christmas Craft Fair table and I need some ideas for what to sell, any ideas?
I am not very skilled so I need something simple and easy. Card ideas or even wrapping is good.

A: I agree with Kate. You could also offer a wrapping service. People can bring their items to you and you wrap them. You will need wrapping paper, tags, tape and maybe bows. You could charge $1-2 per item wrapped. You can always use any of the leftover materials for yourself.

Q: christmas gift craft ideas?
I am a pretty crafty person and have a lot of craft stuff. does anyone have an ides of something easy and kind of quick thati can make for my 12 year old sister. i already made a spool knit scarf and she loves them, but i want to make her something else that she likes. please help me please and thank you!!

A: I saw something on a craft show yesterday that might do. The hosts of the show took old eye shadow and blusher compacts and cleaned out the old stuff, washed and dried them and filled them with home-made lip gloss. They made it by putting a generous amount of ordinary lip balm such as Vaseline Lip Therapy into a plastic zipper bag along with a few shavings from an old lipstick and mixing them in the bag. When the color had been well distributed, they snipped a small corner of the bag off and used it to squirt the lip gloss into the clean compact sections. You could flavor the lip glosses by adding a drop of extract like peppermint or vanilla. They then decorated the outside of the compact by cutting a piece of scrapbook paper to fit the outside top and used a glue stick to attach and added some embellishments such as flat back rhinestones and tiny silk flowers with some white glue.

Q: ANy great Christmas craft/present ideas for 6, 8, 11 year old to make for relatives?

A: I always love receiving those toilet roll holders covered in fur with a couple of googly eyes stuck on and a pair of cut out feet. I think they are called "gonks". Give me half a dozen gonks over a box of chocolates / t-shirt / or something that costs money any day.

Q: Any good ideas for a sixth grade Christmas craft?
Last year I had my students make up those mason jars with the chocolate chip cookie ingrediants... very cute. But this year the students are not bringing in nearly enough jars. The jars are way too expensive for me to buy along with the ingrediants. Do you have any other mature crafts I can do with them to give to their parents. I've looked online everythings seems so babyish or too expensive. Please give me the website if you found it online. Thanks!
