Q: Where can I find battery operated white christmas lights? Help!!! Thanks!!!?

A: try ebay or christmas tree shoppe

Q: how do I use a 9 volt battery to power a row of christmas lights?

A: I'm assuming the xmas lights are the kind you plug into a wall that run off of 120VAC? You really cant run them on a 9V battery... unless it is a high power deep cycle battery, and you just happen to have a 9VDC to 120VAC power inverter (and usually the ones on the market run on 12VDC so you will need a DC-DC boost converter to get 9V up to 12. Or you could just keep adding 9V batteries in series until you get the lights bright enough.

Q: How do you power christmas lights inside a car?
I am trying to hook christmas lights up inside my van. it is a big old astrovan. there is only one cigarette lighter. i am wondering: A. will a power inverter work to power the lights? B. would the christmas lights take too much energy and kill the battery/ make something else not work? C. is there a better way to string christmas lights in a car with only a cigarette lighter Will option A draw too much power from the battery? Similar to Christmas light but they don;t have to be that good.

Q: Ideas for how to spice up my look for an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party?
This is the first year I will be attending a friend's Ugly Christmas Sweater party and I love to go all out for things. I am a brunette girl on the thin side. I am going to go shopping for a hideous sweater this week but I need some other ideas on how to make my look stand out (For example, other guests have worn battery-operated christmas lights on their person). How else can I make my look super awesome, ugly, and of course, Christmas-y?!?

A: Buy a pair of stretch pants and bedazzle or glitter puff paint those babies to match your sweater. Glittered hair bows would work also.

Q: I am going to a christmas party where the theme is "red, black, and white". I need costume ideas!?
I am 5'5 skinny female. I am thinking of using battery operated christmas lights. I want to spice it up a little bit. Any tips would be great.

A: How about a white christmas angel and you could have lights on your halo!! hope you have a good time..

Q: testing christmas light bulbs on a battery?
How do I do this?

A: If you are wanting to test the bulbs that are connected in series on the mains, a few volts from a battery will light one. Bear in mind that when they blow, they go short circuit so testing a bad one will short out your battery so only connect it briefly if it doesn't light. The reason they go short is to keep the rest of them on when they are wired in series. Don't test these type of bulbs with an ohmmeter because a bad one shows low resistance same as a good one for the reason above.

Q: Where can I purchase a cone-shaped, battery-operated Christmas tree sold by Avon Products in 2006?
These cone-shaped trees were about 18 inches tall and were lighted with batteries. I am looking for a gold one. I believe they also came in red.

A: I would try ebay first. Then maybe the Avon website, try contacting customer support. Good luck~

Q: Is there a cost-efficient way to power christmas lights without AC power?
I was looking at portable power generators as a means to powering Christmas lights outside of my home. My plan was to actually brighten up a tree in a park. Besides battery powered lights, what else could I do? Besides DIY projects, is there a way to make the lights actually function without batteries. I think the Christmas lights which run on actual AC power come cheaper, and come with more lights. So would I be able to run with the lights with some kind of portable, affordable power source? Is this product able to run some lights for two hours? http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11112764&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&N=4000443&in_dim_search=1&cm_re=1_en-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search&No=13&Mo=32&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ns=P_Price|0||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&search=battery&topnav=# My email is either pinoyboy77us@yahoo.com or crambosho@gmail.com, please email me after answering if there are more details. This is fairly important to me, thank in advanced.

A: AC power from the grid IS the most cost efficient way. Other than that you might try solar powered lights.
