Q: are there any good christmas light displays to show a 6yr old in London other than Oxford/Regent St?
We are going to take our 6 year old son into London for a day/evening out and he loves Christmas lights... is there anywhere particular other than Regent St we should go? ta.
A: There are other streets near Regent Street and Oxford Street that also have good lights, like Bond Street and, further south, Jermyn Street. But the main attraction that you shouldn't leave out of your after-dark tour is the Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square.
Q: Where can I find a list of homes with Christmas light displays?
I'm looking for the over the top houses; not your every day throw up some lights and call it Christmas. We had a local radio station doing a competition but there were only two houses.
Hey, Merry Xmas Mark. Find the spirit.
A: Here's one that made the internet last year. This year he made a mock-up of his house in a park, so more people can see his awesome display!

Q: Do you think having Christmas light displays outside your home is bad for the environment?
In Australia last March we had what was known as earth hour, an hour where everyone was encouraged to turn off their lights for an hour in order to help the environment. My busybody neighbour got really into this and harassed everyone in our neighbourhood in the week leading up to earth hour, to make sure that we would all participate. In fact, at the time when earth hour began, she even knocked on our door to remind us that earth hour was about to begin and we had promised to participate. Now Christmas is almost here and this same neighbour has a massive display of Christmas lights outside her home - including giant light up candy canes and snow men. The house is covered in tiny lights. She keeps them on most of the night. I think this is very hypocritical of her. How do we approach her and remind her of the commitment she made to looking after the environment without sounding like we are trying to ruin Christmas?
A: This Earth hour thing. Is it a yearly affair or only last year. It would be a nice but sarcastic way to remind her if she is intending to do the earth hour thing this year too. Like,' Wow, what lovely decorations you have put on this year! By the way We were just wondering if we will be doing the Earth Hour this year too, as you made an impact on us last year! Something like that may just get the message across to her.
Q: What are your favorite places to view the Christmas light displays?
A: OH! new york, new york.....never been there for xmas. i so wanna go there this christmasmas but i am still thinking about who to convince to go with me .....lol. i think it will be great ....that's how i envision this christmas.it'd be awesome....
Q: Do you drive around and look at Christmas Light Displays???
Is this a tradition you do with your family? What do you think of people that put up elaborate displays in their front yard for Christmas?
I'm so happy to read it is a tradition for most of you. It takes us 5 days to put up our display. We get a lot of joy from the people that come to see. Our whole neighborhood gets involved and they even collect for charity on the weekends. It is so nice to know that it is appreciated and people really enjoy the tradition at looking at lights. Some of my neighbors are ba-humbugs but they put up lights anyways but not really appreciative of the festivities. Anyways here is a site in the area where I live that shows houses that are decorated. Check it out!! www.lightsofthevalley.com Happy holidays everyone!!
A: As a matter of fact, I took my daughter out last night to check out Christmas lights. She gets a big kick out of it and so do I. She loves helping me put the lights on our house and really loves helping me and mommy put the tree up. She says that folks who don't have lights on their house don't have any Christmas spirit. That's adorable when it is said by a five-year-old.
Q: Where do I go to look at Christmas light displays? what neighborhood in Colorado springs?
