Q: Does anyone know of a place that sells mini Christmas lights like this?
Does anyone know of a place that sells lights like Christmas Done Bright, as they are going to all LED lights? Just like these: http://www.christmasdonebright.com/s.nl/it.A/id.102/.f?sc=2&category=2111 Thanks!

A: Try Bronners.com or www.bronners.net Christmas ornaments, lights and decorations from Bronner's - the World's Largest Christmas Store. Tons of christmas lights there!! :-)

Q: Who else gets frustrated with those mini Christmas lights?
You have a whole working strand and then one half is all burnt out. Like now I just plugged them in to make sure they work and they do, but when you get them on the house and then turn them on half are burned out. They drive me insane!

A: If you find yourself with this problem you should buy lights that aren't cheap. Any decent lights will continue to work with a few lights out. You could also get LED lights which last many years.

Q: How do I find wholesale companies for Christmas Lights?
I've poked around google, yahoo, msn, etc. and all of the "wholesale" companies are offering small discounts below their retail prices and calling it "wholesale". Where do these companies on the Internet get their lights? (They won't tell me...I've tried) I'm interested in finding companies that actually *are* wholesale (like maybe the manufacturers?) of Christmas lights. Specifically - the mini lights in strands of 50. Does anyone know of a company that manufactures and/or distributes strands of Christmas lights ?

A: Many lights were used to be made in Taiwan and now probably in China. Try this web site. http://www.allproducts.com. Also try search for China trading company, etc. If you are close to China town in SFor NY or LA, find a trading company there too.

Q: How many Christmas mini-light plugs can I stack together?
I am putting up outdoor lights for a friend who did the keep the box.

A: read the warnings they normally say three but you can buy special extension cords made for christmas lights that have several outlets on them .

Q: can LED Christmas light bulbs be used in mini Christmas light sets?

A: They are much bigger but if it is not too small a tree you could use them. It would save you energy so try it. Brin

Q: How much do Christmas Lights cost to run?
I have 3 strands of 100 mini lights. They were like $3.99 for a set of 100. How much will they cost me to run for 6 hours each night? Not worried, just curious of how many watts they are and what that will cost me.

A: There is a calculator at the bottom of this webpage http://www.christmaslightsanddecorations.com/energy-cost-calculator.aspx

Q: How much does it REALLY cost to run Christmas lights??
My husband never wants me to turn them on.."Its too expensive!!"....Oh come on now!....So how much do you think it really costs to run Chrismas lights for month??...I do run quite a few....Maybe 1000-1500 mini lights...I like to have them on for say 6 hours per day...guesses?...math whizzes?...random thoughts?...lol....Thanks!

A: Mini bulbs are about 25 watts per 50 bulb strand. Your 1500 bulbs would be 30 strands times 25 watts equals 750 watts. At about 10 cents per kilowatt (1000 Watt) hour, equals about 7 1/2 cents per hour. 6 hours per day equals 45 cents per day, times 30 days equals $13.50 per month.

Q: Last section of mini christmas light set not functioning on two different strands? please help?

A: Generally, ONE lite bulb is bad causing the entire strand to not work. My wife is so good at finding a "bad bulb" she will not let me do it. She simply takes a bulb and replaces it one bulb at a time until the "bad guy" is found. If there are two bad bulbs which is highly unlikely, you have almost no chance of finding the culprits. GOOD HUNTING! Have a great holiday season. Eds

Q: What's your favorite christmas lights color?
The holidays are coming up soon, and I need to start buying some new christmas lights this year. I need new mini-bulb strands of lights. I was thinking about changing my old colors, and trying out some new colors for the following years to come. My question to you is, What is your favorite christmas lights color/what color do you like the most for christmas lights?

A: I like multi colours flashing lights.

Q: Breaker question, breaker box, amps, watts, lights, christmas lights...?
Ok, so I'm putting up Christmas lights and so far am only using one circuit, it's a 15a piggyback breaker. So far my count looks like this: 4650 .41 watt mini lights 50 5 watt C9s That's around 2150 watts and I have yet to flip the breaker, any idea why? Also it is going through a timer which has a 15amp breaker in it, and there's a GFCI on the circuit, thanks in advance.

A: Some times what is on paper has little to do with reality. Using a digital (accurate) amp clamp, what is the actual constant load on the circuit? What is your actual voltage on the circuit? And also it is not unusual for a 15 amp circuit breaker to hold 18 amps. It depends on how much heat and dissipation is present in the panel. Before getting to excited, be aware that a #14 wire can handle 20 amps of current with no degradation of it's insulation at all. Now you know why. On the other hand if you have a Federal Pacific breaker, they are known to fail to trip until the house burns down.
