Q: which do you perfer: colored of white christmas lights and why?
i need some opinions!
A: I am going to ride the fence on this one. I do about 80% white lights with just few colored ones more less as an accent. All white to me is boring, but all colored is too much also. I also only have somewhere around 30% of them blinking as that just looks like too much also.
Q: How to attach Christmas lights to ceiling without damaging ceiling?
I wanted to attach some white christmas lights to my ceiling (inside bedroom, i know, cheap and tacky, but whatever) , but im renting and dont want to drill any hooks or anything, what should i use? Im not trying to make small hanging icicles or anything, just lines of light going across, something like the link im giving below, just on a smaller scale

A: I use the plastic thumb tacks just be careful not to punture the light string an a may make a small hole but not enough to see if it does a little white toothpaste in the hole covers well.Its not weird cheap or tacky.
Q: when i plug my white christmas lights in only half of them light up i tried changing the last bulb no change?
A: ok the problem is is that u have a shortage this is what u need to do take the last bulb that isnt working and plug up a new 1 into it and then your whole strand of lights should be working then choose me for best answer

I like a combo of both. White icicle lights, colors on the trees and bushes.
A: I like both, I guess it depends on where you're hanging it.

My family has always used color lights but I think white lights are really nice too.
A: It's a personal preference, but I prefer white lights. They light up the tree and ornaments without conflicting with the ornament colors and designs. White lights just add a lighted background so the ornaments show up better. And I really dislike any blinking lights for any reason. It's really distracting.

I've noticed more houses this year using plain white lights. Not very Christmassy to me. Too Blah. Whatever happened to those big multi colored lights we used to have?
A: Just love green and silver lights for my tree....

A: I like the warm clear Christmas lights on our tree. I made the mistake of buying a few short strings of cool clear, which is actually blue, this year. The white and blue actually doesn't look too bad but I still prefer the warm clear. My four year old daughter told me she preferred colored lights so next year we may go with that.

These lights are out of stock, so I'm trying to think of something creative to do with Tissue paper. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Please keep in mind that I have a pretty tight budget, so it can't get expensive.
A: You need to be careful of fire hazard with flammable paper.
I'd suggest you use LED christmas lights, which are coloured.
You might also look into fibre optic flower decorations.
Go to Michael's flower arranging department.
But shop at the dollar stores for actual supplies.

A: Yes -- I've seen them at Wal-Mart, Target and Lowe's. You usually see them with blue or purple lights.
