Q: Where can I find gold Christmas Ornaments?
When I went on a cruise and when I was in Alaska, there were lots of beautiful Christmas ornaments that are flat with shapes cut out of them. The shapes are hooked together and resemble a 3-D object when finished. They were about $3.50 (that is the overpriced tourist price) each. I would love to find more, but I dont know where to look online. Any ideas?

A: try Hobby Lobby craft store, they have all sorts of ornaments color coordinated and fairly priced. that's your best bet if you dont have a Hobby Lobby in your area google it or even try Michael's craft store

Q: What are some traditional Christmas Ornaments in Puerto Rico?

Q: What happens to christmas ornaments when its put into a microwave?
Why does the christmas ornament light up when hit by microwave rays? What is the chemistry behind it? Thanks!

A: It is not chemistry, at least not directly. The lights are due to the interaction of the microwave energy with the metallic coatings on the ornaments. When the microwaves strike the metallic coating, the metals in the ornaments develop high currents which can easily heat the thin coatings to the point of melting and even combusting. In effect, the metallic coating is acting like an antenna that is shorted. Because of the varying pattern of energy inside the microwave, the energy distribution can be somewhat random, so the "sparks" will form at various points on the ornament. Of course, performing this experiment is not recomended. It can damage the microwave and result in toxic smoke as the dyes and pigments in the ornament burn.

Q: Where Can I Find Cinnamon Bear Christmas Ornaments?
I thought since Christmas ornaments would be considered in the homecatagory. I would ask here. Does anyone know where I can purchase official "cinnamon Bear ornaments? I am talking about ornaments based on the radio show. Years ago my local station WBBM advertised a local shop, however the station no longer has an old time radio show and I can't remember rthe name of the shop. The show and commercial ran in the late 1980's and I am not sure if the shop is even still in business . Any help would be appreciated

A: Well I did an extensive search for "The Cinnamon Bear" old time radio classic for christmas ornaments and the only place I found any was ebay. The radio show from 1937 is available on tape, cd, cd-rom from various places online; like amazon, ebay, and a couple other places.

Q: I recently lost all my christmas ornaments in a house fire?
...what is a good web site for easy to make home made christmas ornaments??? I need some that arent hard and dont require alot of money would like some fun things to do with my 5 year old son..christmas is gonna be hard this year..running low on cash..but still wanna make it fun for my son.

A: Paper mache. Try taking small balloons like the water ones you can get. Blow them up just a bit so there like the size of an ornament and tie it. Then mix flour and water together in a bowl to make the mache. Rip up newspaper into long lengthwise strips. Take a newspaper strip and dip it into the mache and lay it down around the balloon.Keep putting strips on until the balloon is coverd at least once, maybe even twice making it all as smooth as possible.Leave the tip where you tied up the balloon out so that you can tie a loop of fishing line like string or whatever you have that will work to hang it on the tree later. Let them dry fully. When there dry the newspaper all around should feel hardend. Then have fun painting them or even taking nice fabrics of your choice that you can wrap around tightly and glue/sew, etc. Thats it. Also try making other things with the paper mache. Like snowmen (3 balloons on top of eachother) or just see what else you can use to shape different things.Be creative and have fun. Im sure you guys will be just fine this christmas.Remember its what you make of it and the spirit that you feel and portray. Dont forget to see if theres any holiday events in your city that is free to the public.
