Q: Where can I buy a small artificial christmas tree?
Hoping someone can help! I want to buy a small (3ft) artificial christmas tree either in silver or white. Ideally I'd like to buy it online. Has anyone got any suggestions where I can look? I've tried woolworths & b&q but cant think of anywhere else! please help!!
A: They are everywhere!
Instore, Homebase, Your local £ store, all over!
Q: Where to donate artificial Christmas Tree in Northern Virginia?
I have a couple of older (barely used) artificial Christmas Trees taking up space in the basement that I am looking to get rid of... Does anyone have any ideas where in the Northern Virginia (metropolitan DC) area I could donate them? I have already tried contacting the usual suspects - Goodwill, Salvation Army, about a half dozen thrift stores - and nobody is interested in taking them. It seems like a waste to just take them to the dump, but I don't have space to store them for much longer and I can't think of many options.
A: try craigs list... usually easier to get rid of closer to the holiday tho. (like November)... also try asking a school, nursing home, or VFW hall..Or save them for your own outdoor decorations?
Q: How do I keep my cat from climbing on my artificial Christmas tree?
I use the aerosol spray for training purposes, but the odor of it is offensive to my family. Is there any way to keep the cat from wanting to climb up my tree? I want to be humane so whatever works that way, I will try. She knocks the tree down every time thus breaking ornaments, etc. I want to keep both my cat and the artificial tree in the house. Please give me "humane" suggestions.
A: Vicks Vapo rub at the base of the tree....works like a charm cats cant stand it and besides since its usually cold and flu season it will keep your families sinuses clear too!
Seriously it does work
Q: What is the most beautiful prelit artificial Christmas tree that is somewhat reasonable in price?
I have the older artificial trees from Hudson Valley that truly look like a real tree, but I have not found that in a pre-lit tree.
A: Don't get a pre-lit. A friend of mine bought one two years ago and already a lot of the lights are burned out. The entire top half of her tree doesn't have lights.
Q: I'm looking for a really nice artificial Christmas tree in the Toronto to London area.?
I'm trying to find a really nice 7 1/2 foot artificial Christmas tree somewhere between Toronto and London (I live closer to London). If I could find one made in Canada and is less toxic that would be even better. I've tried Canadian Tire, Rona, Sears and a couple of garden centers. If anyone could recommend a store to find something special I would appreciate it.
Thanks.
A: IKEA has specials and coupons right now.
Q: How can I make my artificial christmas tree look full without empty spaces???
Every year I put up my artificial tree, & I try for hours to make it look full without any big spaces in it. I always have several big spaces in it that is very noticeable. My husband says I'm too picky. What can I do to make it look better to me???
A: lol, you sound just like me!
i think tinsel is a god send!-fill up your tree with really thick sparkly tinsel that will give off the illusion of a thick tree..
failing that, do what i have done this year, buy a real tree!
if the tree has holes in it then at least that is the way god wanted it.... makes me feel better, well it did for first few days, now i just worry that my tree will be the same as every year!
Q: Is an authentic or artificial christmas tree better for the environment?
Why?
I want to write a persuasive speech on this topic, but I'm not sure which side I should take because I know using real xmas trees kills them, but artificial trees are made of nonrenewable resources.
A: well there is an option of a living tree that is potted it lasts long and its eco and it can go out side un till crismas
Q: Where to buy a White Artificial Christmas Tree??
I'm looking to buy an artificial, white, pre-lit Christmas tree... And I've looked all over and can't find a good one (or any at all)... Maybe it's just too early to purchase a Christmas tree but, does anyone know of a good place, for when Christmas gets closer??
A: Surprising enough, I actually found mine at Wal-Mart, it was $35 and 6 ft. tall. You must go there though, because there were some bad ones also. You have to see and feel it. My 12 ft. tree I got online from Home Depot and it is GORGEOUS!!!!
Q: I live in Australia and I have a new idea for a style of artificial Christmas tree.?
I think my idea would really sell well. I have searched high and low and there is nothing like my idea on the market today.
I do not have the means to construct this new style of tree myself.
Would it be advisable for me to approach companies that make artificial Christmas trees directly about my idea? If so, can anyone point me in the direction of some companies? I would like use local (Australian) companies, but in their absence any company in the world would do.
A: Get a patent before going anywhere. Your idea may not amount to anything in the end, but if it does - jackpot!! You can get info from the website below.
You will also need to check if anyone else has registered the idea as a patent.
I cant help with the product because I dont know what materials your looking to use.
Q: where can I get a really cheap artificial christmas tree?
I want a nice one just wanted to see if anyone knew a discount store they can be bought at for cheap online. Family is allergic to the real trees. I just don't want to spend all my money on a christmas tree, i'd rather buy presents. But I don't want an ugly one either.
A: Really the best time to buy a nice tree for a fraction of the price is after Christmas. I bought two trees from K-mart on clearance after Christmas for $25.00 each. Both trees were $100.00 trees and when they went 75% off I bought one. I got both of them two different years. Last year at Wal-mart I got a 6 foot pre-lit tree that was originally $65.00 (I think) and I paid $14.00 for it. And one year I bought a two 6 foot trees for $5.00 each at K-mart. I gave one to my brother and sister in law who were just setting up house. If you have a tree for this year use it one more time and check the stores AFTER christmas. They start out with 25% off and each week they don't sell they will continue to mark them down. Don't worry you will get one. I see them all the time. IAnd if your k-mart or wal-mart are out then travel down the road to the next one, someone will have them. The decorations and wrapping paper will be the same way. I usually stock up on my wrappings and greeting cards at this time. I hope you find one.
Q: How do you keep an 8-month old cat out of an artificial Christmas tree?
The tree is a newer artificial one, and our "Shadow" absolutely loves climbing in it. The problem is he's destroying the tree-literally! We haven't even been able to put ornaments on it yet; we have twice had to restring the 700 lights that are on it, as well. I'm looking for something that won't hurt our kitty or our kiddies (we have 5) and also won't damage the tree, lights, or ornaments. I hope somebody has some quick and effective answers. Thank you!
A: Haha.. Welcome to my world! I have 5 that scaled up and down my live tree daily. A little of anything that has a strong, offensive-to-cats odor at the base of the tree will keep them away. I took a sheet of aluminum foil and place it under the tree skirt, rubbed a bit of a lemon half (the skin side) on the bark at the base of the tree and they have avoided it like the plague ever since. Hope his helps you have a purrfect Christmas!
Q: What can I do with my artificial christmas tree?
I live in a studio apartment and I bought a christmas tree a little too big! Now I just don't know what to do with it when I take it down.
Should I sell it? Or can I donate it to a charity of some kind?
Any ideas?
PS: Merry Christmas to all
A: If you haven't used it, you could get a refund, depending when you got it from.
You could ask places like Oxfam, Cancer Research etc if they'd sell it in one of their charity shops, or you could just give it to a friend.
If it cost under £8 I'd personally just bin it and then buy a smaller one in the sales.
Merry Christmas!
Q: Where can I find a "Grinch" full size artificial Christmas tree?
A couple of years ago I was at the mall and went into one of those seasonal Christmas stores. Every tree in the place that was loaded down with the ornaments for sale, looked like a Grinch tree. I asked the woman about them and was told they were not for sale, and that she had ordered them. They are full size, probably about 7-8 feet tall, and arched at the top. I have looked everywhere online, and can't find a thing.....anyone else ever seen these?
A: i saw one this past christmas at garden ridge
Q: How do I make an artificial white Christmas tree white again?
I just took my artificial white Christmas tree out of storage only to find that it had turned yellow over the year. So I was wondering if there was any way to make it white again?
A: at the craft store MICHAEL'S they have a white spray meant for stuff like your tree
Q: Searching for artificial Christmas tree?
I've looked everywhere but can't seem to find the kind I'm looking for. They're either too short or too tall. Due to the size of this room I'm looking for a prelit Christmas tree that's 5.5' - 6' tall with either multi-colored or clear lights. What online store or retail chain can I find a tree that's close to this? Thank you.
A: Try Kmart...my favorite, still have it, I found in a mall home furnishing store that offers seasonal "bulk" buyouts! It was only 59.99 and that was 7 years ago!.. it looks as good today as it did back then! It is all clear lights and each year, I decide if I want to add additional solid or multi-colored strands of lights to make it look "different" each year...or just leave it clear lit!!! Its totally up to you!! Happy Tree Hunting!!!
