Q: what kind of christmas tree decor should I do?
I just bought this tree like a week a go and i've started decorating it. colors so far include red, blue, green, yellow, silver and gold. red and white lights. it looks sort of good so far. but kind of bare. please help I want a good looking tree!!!!!
A: ornaments and to personalize it you can get these ornaments that have opening for pictures .I did this and all my baby pictures and my cousins pictures are on them. You could make a new ornament each year with your family and add it. That way you look back at them and the memories. You could also put presents under it .
Q: Anyone else not put a tree or Christmas decor up this year or any year? I never do.?
A: Not this year. Just having a nice sensible lunch at home. No driving to/from various relatives on the highway, no stress no indigestion and most of all NO GUILT!!!!!!
Q: What is a fun theme I can do this year for my Christmas tree?
Each year I try to do something fun with the decor. Last year I did a more traditional tree with poinsettias but this year I want something bright and fun... Any suggestions?
A: Do a whimsical tree with bright colors like lime green electirc blue and hot pink. I saw one in a store window and it was beautiful.

Q: Do the stores close to you already have Christmas decor up?
I went shopping today, and see that many stores already have trees up,other decorations, and Christmas music already chiming in !!
A: yup!
I know loads of people like it as soon as possible... and goodness knows enough people seem to buy the stuff...
(I saw mince pies out weeks ago, with a best before date of 30 November! good grief!)
but I'd rather keep Advent as a quiet preparation for christmas...
and keep christmas (so many people seem to want to spend Christmas. me, I try to keep christmas)
anyway..,, try to keep christmas from Christmas eve through to twelfth night.
That way it keeps it fresh, and (for me) it has meaning.
Q: Who still has their Christmas tree or inside decorations up?
Living in the North, my decor ranges from snowmen to snowflakes. I used to keep everything up till mid January but now I live in a warmer climate and there is no snow. Is it weird for me to still follow traditions? It's not a family tradition or I wouldn't care who thought I was weird, it's just mine. lol.
A: Nope, all put up on Dec. 27th.
Q: Whats your favorite Christmas decor?
Aside from the Christmas tree?
A: I would say an old ornament that my mother gave me. It's just a small heart shaped crystal, that is cut in a way, that it reflects the lights. More sentimental.
Q: Christmas tree decoration website???

Q: Christmas Decor?
When do you put your christmas tree and decorations up. I normally put them up around 12th December. All my neighbours seem to have put them all up a few days ago. When do you think its a propriate time to put up your tree and decorations i feel the beginning of December is just far too early.
A: i think at least a week or to after december
Q: Giving relatives my Christmas tree as a gift on Dec. 26th. Should I leave the tinsel & décor on it?
I’m not seeing one group of relatives for Christmas until Dec. 26th and really don’t want go overboard on gifts for them. I’m thinking since I have to throw out my live Christmas tree anyway it will make a nice gift for them.
They have a live tree themselves and throw a New Years party each year so by giving them my tree, it allows them TWO tress to display at the New Years party. That is a great gift - Not too many folks can say they have two trees.
They also live more of a country/wooded area so they can just toss in the woods once it completely dies.
How creative & nice of a gift is this???? I think it is the tops!!!!
Just worried they may ruin the tinsel & other décor on the tree & I do want that stuff back. Should I just give them the tree without the tinsel & décor?
A: Tacky..Tacky..Tacky
Q: Modern Christmas decor Help?
I was at a party last Christmas and the hostess had a pink tree with I believe blue lights or torquoise lights it looked real modern. Does anyone have any mordern ideas to decorate for Christmas this year?
A: blue tree w/ white lights... or a silver tree w/ blue lights.. even w/ purple lts... I think colored trees r hard to find unless u have the $$ but even on a reg. tree.. u can add modern things like solid color lights. Mayb try those running lights... that would b more modern. Geometric designs for orniments.
hope that helps
Q: Can you turn a living, breathing "atis" tree into a Christmas Tree?
Saves you money rather than buying one from the malls.
Other than placing all sorts of decors, lights, etc. there would be reall honest to God atis fruits there!!
Added Detail:
"Atis" is annona squamosa, sugar apple.
A: Sure you can. I think any tree will do. When I was in Singapore I remember the Chinese make use of the grafted calamansi tree (with fruits on) as their festivity tree during Chinese New Year (which they celebrate like our Christmas).
Up here in Canada, the Spruce or Pine trees are the only outdoor trees that are green during winter, I think that's the reason why they were called "Christmas Trees". The other trees look dead because all their leaves have fallen.
In the Philippines, the trees and plants are green whole year round.
And you've got thousands of varieties and species to choose to make use as an adornment during festivities.
But commercialism has conditioned our minds that Christmas trees are only those plastic replica of the spruce or pine trees, you find in the malls.
Furthermore, Christmas Trees have a paganistic origin. And has no relation whatsoever to the real reason we are celebrating, the birth of Christ.
As for me, Christmas tree or no Christmas tree, my Christmas will still be merry as long as I am with my family, celebrating the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ.
Merry Christmas to all!!!
Q: What can I do to keep my Xmas tree fresh? I heard ginger rale is that true?
I purchased our tree early because it is my first grandchild and his first Christmas. I would like my tree to last at least until Christmas. This is also my first year REALLY celebrating Christmas with the tree and decor.
A: Plain sugar water will do.
Q: Is it true that Born-again Christians do not celebrate Christmas?
I was told by someone that B.A Christians do not believe in putting up Christmas Trees, decors, giving cards and attending mass on Christmas eve but they still do with the gift giving and stuff. I already know the B.A. Christians do not keep images of Jesus and they don't believe in Mother Mary and all the Saints. How true is this?
Thanks Nickster.... I knew there was something wrong about it. Further clarifications are most welcomed.
A: Many are confused this time of year due to be raised on traditions. But they should realize some truth about those traditions.
Christmas is not a holiday about Christ, but a Pagan holiday brought over to convert Pagans to Christianity.
Bible is very clear that we are not to bring over traditions from others. For they are not things for us. Remember, we were brought out to get away from such practices.
2Thessalonians 3:6
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Master Yahushua the Messiah, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
Colossians 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after the Messiah.
It is also clear about the so called Christmas tree that so many like to decorate and set up.
Jeremiah 10:2-4
Thus saith YHWH, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
Recall the story of Moses getting the tablets?. Those with him while waiting made a holiday unto G_D. But G_D did not make that holiday, in turn He punished those who made it.
Christmas is the same thing. A holiday for G_D that we created and He did not.
The first person, Last, their mention of a passage saying its okay. This is a person who doesn't follow the word but what they want it to say. For they contradict what they say. Chistmas is pagan and is not a Holy day. So since it is not a Holy day deemed by G_D, this person is in turn breaking the laws of the bible.
The fact of not doing Xmas, Easter, etc has nothing to do with any one denomination. But is skipped by those who truely follow the bible in any denomination or non denomination. Bible is clear, 7 feasts, that's it.
And to celebrate Halloween, Eve of all Hallows, the Night of the Dead. That alone shows who truely is with G_D and isn't. Remember, Lucifer is the angel of Light. Just a twist of a word here or there and he has you hooked. For it is now not the law of G_D.
The hardest thing to accept in life is the truth, and few are willing to grasp it. But instead turn from sound doctrine and heap teachers to themselves with itching ears speaking of fabels.
Q: When do you take down the Christmas decor...?
I took down the tree today and took all the lights off of the house because it's the way my family has done it for years but some of my neighbors have their houses lit well past Valentines day. When do you take down your decor?
A: I took all mine down today, I put up so much stuff in the house so it is nice to see my living room again. The stuff outside will come down when it gets warm enough to take it down. Usually that is or near march.
