Q: When are you taking your Christmas tree & Decorations down?
We was thinking of taking them down tonight...has anyone else done this?

A: Well, I didn't put mine up this year, but gave them to a family with children instead. So I guess they will chose the time to do that.

I do a little bit of both. I go out and buy Christmas decorations that are a little bit fun to add to my collection. I think its fun to have the old decorations from last year because I like finding new ways to put them up.

Q: My cat broke some Christmas tree decorations and now I'm scared she ate them?
My cat broke some glass tree decorations. I cleaned them up as soon as I saw them, but she broke another while I was cleaning and she acted like she was going to eat it. Should I be looking for any specific signs that might indicate she has glass in her belly? I'm scared now. I'm also scared she got the glass in her paws. I took the whole tree down and cleaned the area really well. Any suggestions?

A: Oh dear, I'm sure of she had glass in her belly the signs would be very obvious and if she had them in her paws she would be limping. If you are looking for reassurance take her to the vet and If you want to put your Christmas tree back up but are worried about the cat messing about with it just spray the tree with lemon juice, cats are not fond of lemon juice and will teach them not to put it in their mouth or touch it with their paws. Q: Is it to early to put up my Christmas tree and decorations?
I live in Canada, so thanksgiving has already past. Would it then be reasonable to put decorations today? My family and i just love Christmas.

A: Way too early. It's not even December yet. Though if that's what you and your family want to do then go for it. You wouldn't be harming anyone, including yourselves, so it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

I love Christmas and the holiday season so I usually put all my stuff up just a few days after Halloween.

A: late october or early november...i don't like to put them up in december..

A: I don't do Christmas anyway - so I have no tree or decorations to put up or take down ! I also work from home running my own business - so don't really have a holiday unless I force myself to take a break !

A: I put my stuff up November 1. The tree and outdoor lights.Why not? It cheers me up and I hate to wait.

I was wondering what's "in" this year for tree decorations? What do you think about gold and brown color theme? I see a lot of that in stores this year.

A: Yep, that's in style. Bigger ornaments are still in, also. They even sell kits for the matching impaired. Pick out about 5 different types of ornaments, and then buy enough of each kind to cover the tree sparsely, and spread out the oraments a bit. Put the bigger ones in the hollows of the tree, the smaller out on the branches. Texture is in again, so you might choose a flower. Gold and brown is good. Try to find an ornament that combines the two. Be sure and wrap the presents under the tree likewise, and carry your theme to a mantle or a table or a chandelier.

Q: When Is the right time to put up the Christmas tree and decorations?
also, to the people who live alone -do you put up decorations?

A: In my part of the world we don't have Thanksgiving, so obviously we don't wait for after Thanksgiving to start decorating. Many stores start selling christmas decorations on the Monday after Fathers Day (can you believe that? Christmas in September? - and some of them decorate their stores early October. How ridiculous!!!! Anyway... i digress) I - and most of my friends - put up their decorations and decorate their trees on the first weekend of December. A few of them put up their trees mid-November but do not switch on the lights until December 1st (not sure why this date). My single friends DO decorate - some with gusto and are just fabulous to visit! So go ahead, do it when you feel like it and not when tradition dictates!

Q: Does anyone have directions for making a Christmas tree decoration from teasels?
Years ago someone had given a friend a christmas tree decoration made from teasels. We have alot of these bushes with teasels on them on our property and thought it would be fun to make use of them.

Why does time keep going faster every year? I remember being 8 and it took 3 years for the months of November and December to go by and Christmas to arrive.

A: aw. my mom loves christmas. shes crazy about it. she always gets depressed, because its a jolly season, and she loves when people smile, and her decorations are so cute, she always getts sad, when she packs them away for like 11 months.

A: Pound shops or Wilkinsons. However if you are not desperate for this year buy all your christmas decorations just after christmas when really expensive stuff will be reduced greatly sometimes minus 60%. Happy Christmas with of without anyway!
