Q: How do I open a Contact Sheet in a Scrapbook Kit?

A: Not sure what you mean by "contact sheet", if you are refereing to magnetic clear sheets in an album, you simply pull up the edge of the sheet and lay your picture, layout, or object on the backing and replace the sheet back down smoothing it out as you go. Do not pull the sheet completely off the backing, just to the point you need to place your item underneath. I hope this was helpful and good luck.

Q: I bought a new scrapbook kit, and I heheh don't know what to do with it,i like animals though, suggestions pls?
Thanks for answering! Wow, thanks everyone, help me lots. Well, I really can't pick a best answer, you are all good so vote!

A: First of all, you should know that there is NO 'wrong' way to scrapbook. Be free! Let your creativity come alive! Look at the papers, stickers etc. and what their patterns are. If they have words/themes about friendship, make a page about your friends. If it's family, scrapbook about your mom or dad. If you like animals, you could scrapbook things like your first pony ride, or a trip to the zoo, that kind of thing. Remember to add lots of journaling, to remember the experience. Even if it wasn't recently, you can ask someone who was there with you about it. Have fun doing it!

Q: I have downloaded some beautiful scrap kits to use in paint shop pro. How do I use them to make scrapbook page

A: i am more familiar with photoshop than with paint shop pro, but you should be able to copy and insert images, if the kits are image files - jpegs, tifs, gifs, or such. you might also try looking at the help options in the program - the paint shop pro website mentions the program has a learning center that teaches you how to use different tools and techniques. good luck!

Q: New Scrapbook Kit Club-Honest Opinion of the site??
I am just starting out with my scrapbook kit club. Once I make a little money I plan to roll it back into the website and the business first. I am just looking for opinions on my page. Constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated! It is www. custommemories.biz Thanks in advance!

A: Your site is fairly straight forward and all the links appear to be working. :) I like your site but my own personal opinions are for small changes: -I'm not a fan of the busy backgrounds. The black one is okay but the pink one is way too busy. My personal taste would be to make them both solid. -I'm also not a fan of moving things. So, the sparkly border is cute but a little distracting. The same with the twirling flowers on the blog page. -I like the large photos showing the kits. They show the items well. Just could add maybe 1 or 2 more to show some of the smaller items so it shows really well. -On the front page, add a sentence or two what your site is about. Or add it under your name. -The pink box with your name should go entirely across the yellow page underneath. Again, these are small changes and opinion from little 'ole me. Hope it all works out for you. Good luck. :)

Q: Bling or no Bling on the Scrapbook Kit Store?
Some people like the bling on my website, and some people hate the bling! I am trying to figure out if leans more one way or the other! So please let me know if you like it or not! http://www.custommemories.biz

A: I vote no, too. When I'm shopping on-line, I want to see the products without being distracted by unnecessary things. Your kits are very nice, and the pictures are well taken. Let them shine brightly on their own without the bling. :-)

Q: I need to find a Beach/Tropical/Cuba SCRAPBOOK KIT...?
I am going to Cuba & LOVE to scrapbook. I want one that is elegant, modern, and sophisticated. I DO NOT want the crappy scrapbook kits where the stickers have white around them, and are all cartoon like. I have seen a lot of nice ones so far but nothing that's "got" me yet... Any sites? Companies? (I already know about C.T.M.H.)

A: DO NOT use magazine pages on your layouts. They are not acid/lignin free. Here are some that I found, all of them are scrapbook safe and do not have white borders and/or cartoon styling: www.timestocherish.com 085060 hibiscus stickers, 084771 tropical flowers paper, 082689 travel paper, 084480 summer paper, 084176 beach towel paper. www.orientaltrading.com hx-65/65502 travel acrylic, hx-65/60438 travel punch outs, hx-65/60443 travel paper www.paperwishes.com at726592 summer kit, at759289 vacation kit, at723294 travel kit. Hope you like one of these, good luck...

Q: Attention Scrapbookers! Would you buy these kits?
Just want honest opinion of my Scrapbook Kits! What do you think? www.custommemories.biz

A: You gave alot of info, but I still feel like you need more. Try look at kits that sell at the story. People are going to want to know how many brads, and how long the ribbon is. People like to know exactly what their getting especially when buying things online.

Q: Scrapbook kit help please?
I just bought a complete scrapbook kit. It came with some very confusing instructions about how to expand the spine. I dont know whether this album allows you to add extra pages or not but it came with an expansion spine. I just dont know how to put this together at all

A: When you open the album cover look at the area where the spine is connected. Is there a flap there that you can lift up? If it is the type I'm thinking of then there would be two screws under that flap. As you do the next step make sure that you pay attention to the order of the different pieces so you can put it back together correctly. To expand the album you will need to open it from the back, lift the flap, using a straight slot screw driver unscrew it. Now you can add the extension posts that either came with the album or that came with the extra pages you bought. After you have added the extension screws add the extra pages. As you finish make sure that you are putting everything back in the order that they need to be when you are done. Next screw the original screw head piece back in place. You're done. If the album you purchased was a strap type It takes careful attention. You may be able to find instructions online somewhere on how to do it. I hope this was helpful.

Q: Scrapbook kit help???
Scrapbook kit help??? Ok so I just bought this greenish aqua scrapbook kit from Target and in the scrapbook is attached colorful paper and sticker sheets. My question is how to remove them. I tried tearing it out but i just tore up a sheet. there are screws but they never stop twisting when i turn them with a knife (i dont think your suppose to remove the screws). Any help??

A: Try leaving the colored paper intact within the scrapbook and decorate the pages however you want. Attach stuff to the pages with the stickers. A good place to discuss scrapbooks is the Hobbies and Crafts category, if interested, here's a shortcut there: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmEeZuEu2cOYDhlaJiwK.XUjzKIX?qid=20070605121810AAuGSIi

Q: Can someone recommend a scrapbook kit I can buy at a northeast chain store?
I'm beginner, so I have no idea what I'm doing. I would like to scrapbook mementos and photos of my boyfriend and I. Ideally I would like a good-looking affordable kit that makes it easy for a beginner to get into the process. I don't mind going out on my own and buying new ribbon and more fancy scissors later, but for now I would just like everything to be in a package since I know I'll forget or not think of something. I would like it to be more like a binder than a book, so if I forget a page about something, or put events out of order, I can still rearrange pages. I should be able to get it at a major chain, because I've waited too long and can't order it online in time. Please help me out:) Thanks in advance!

A: Joann's has exactly what you are asking for, also Michael's and A.C. Moore. Most kits do NOT include scissors. Sam's Club has some for around $20 that look okay. Joann's also has "pre-made pages" that you add your photos to. These come four pages to a package for around $5. You will still have to buy an album, but this will give you an excellent, professional-looking result. Good luck! Scrapbooking is one of those things that you can get good at very quickly, yet always has room for expanding your horizons.

Q: Looking for a great memory box/scrapbook kit for my baby on the way?
Im 37 weeks pregnant with a little boy and our first child. Im trying to find a kit to make a scrapbook for him. I know I could make one from scratch myself, I am an artist after all. But Im a first time parent and dont want to overwhelm myself too much and then never get the book done. Id also like to have a box to put things in like a newspaper from the day of his birth and other memorable stuff, photo albums etc. I really dont want anything too frilly or cutesy with lace or Winnie the pooh because thats just not me. I prefer modern stuff. Any ideas or website links? Thanks!!

A: Wal-Mart has really cute scrapbook boxes, one for a boy, and one for a girl. They come with the book, a box, ribbon, brads, stickers, all the paper you need, and for the one who doesn't know how to start scrap booking, they give you a "directions" sheet on how it would look if you did it the way they give it to you. Obviously, you don't have to do it like that, but that's what I did, because I liked the layout. I got it all done, and I just waited on the pictures after my daughter was born, this way it was all ready. =] Very east. Congratulations, and good luck with your scrapbook. =] ♥♥7
