Q: How do i take a good picture of my scrapbook pages?
my scanner is not big enough for my pages and i want to share my pages online does anyone have any good suggestions?
A: I put mine down on the ground and stand over them on a chair. I take them out of the page protector first. then put the photo into your computer.
Q: What is the best way to ship single scrapbook pages 12 x 12?
I want them to make it there with no wrinkles or creases. Is there special boxes you can buy?
Thanks for your help!
Niki
A: Use a photo mailer. They are sturdy cardboard
envelopes.
Q: Can I create a Scrapbook Page on line & order just the pages??
I would like to create just pages on line with my photos, text, etc. but then order it and have it be the same size as a scrapbook page so I can insert it into my own book. I know Shutterfly does actual scrapbooks that you can create on line, but you have to order the whole book.
A: I may be mistaken, but I think Shutterfly allows you to order just your page. I believe the price is a little over $6.00 a piece.
Q: How do you insert refill pages into a scrapbook?
I need to put some refill pages into my scrapbook (It's for a school project, obviously I'm no scrap-booking pro) and I can't find any directions online or on the package!!! Are these things supposed to be obvious? Because I can't figure it out! All I can find are places where you can buy the refill pages. Help me please!!
A: It will depend on what type of scrapbook you have.
There are some that have a screw assembly used to hold the pages in place. Sometimes these are hidden under a fold on the left hand side of the inside of the book, front and/or back. If it is a screw assembly/post you must unscrew the post, remove the top cover OR back cover and add the refill pages.
Some books have no way to add refills. Look carefully at the binding to check for the assembly bits.
Some use rings - just unsnap or open each ring and add the refill pages. Others are spiral bound. These can be quite tricky and require patience. Some spirals can be twisted in such a way to remove one of the books covers and add more refills.
What kind do you have? Good luck!
Q: How do you put new pages in a scrapbook!?
I must be retarded, but I cannot figure out how to add more pages to my scrapbook. I have the extra sleeves, I have my scrapbook, I THINK I'm supposed to pull the spine apart somehow, but I'm afraid I'll rip the whole thing apart and then have a wasted scrapbook, and just floating pages. Help!!
A: I know that my scrapbooks have are strap hinges. If this is the type you have then you take the spine off and unthread the straps like you would a belt. Put the new pages in and thread the straps back together. Finally put the spine back on. If you have the post hinge then you would unscrew the posts put the pages in and screw the posts back on. There are some scrapbooks out there that are not refillable. Hopefully you don't have this type of book.
Q: how to remove smoke odor from scrapbook pages?
Suffered a house fire and scrapbooks were exposed to heat and smoke and looking for a way to save the existing pages as opposed to re-doing over 12 albums.
A: If you have a container large enough, place several of the pages inside and in a smaller container or bowl that can be placed in such a way inside the container so as not spill, place cotton balls soaked in white vinegar.
Cover the container and leave in a place that it will not be disturbed for a few days. The cotton balls should help absorb the smoke smell and the white vinegar smell will dissipate after a day or two after the pages are removed from the container.
The cotton balls soaked in white vinegar. (in an open container), placed in a vehicle for a day or two helps remove smoke smell from it too. (I had worked for a used car dealership.)
You can also place the pages in a tight lidded container with crumpled newspaper or even try placing them in a tight lidded container with a box of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda.
Q: how do you change the pages in a scrapbook?
I got a scrapbook today and thought I'd add some stuff to it, I went to unscrew the back to take out all the sticker pages so that I could just have pictures and stuff in it, but anyway, the problem is that the screws keep turning and turning and never come out!!! The top screw came out, but the other two are impossible!!!
Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone help?
A: I don't believe you're doing anything "wrong".
If one half is slotted and the other half isn't, use pliers on one side and a suitable screwdriver on the other.
If neither side has a slot, get out two pairs of pliers and use one to hold one half and the other to twist the other half. If you don't have two pairs of pliers, think about getting another pair. Until then, try holding the send half still with duct tape or even chewing gum.
Good luck. It's not your fault if the item is poorly-designed.
Q: Anyone know an organization to donate scrapbook pages/cards to?
I am a scrapbooking freak & I only have girls... a lot of time I still buy boy stuff or stuff that doesn't really go w/my kids (like dance, and they aren't in dance...) just because it's so cute! I would like to make kits or pages or cards, etc., and maybe just donate them to somewhere that can sell them for proceeds to benefit charity... Like here at Christmas we have Festival of Trees, which they would take christmas-related donations, but i was just looking for something for general themes.
A: Lots of great ideas ....
hospitals; schools; girl and boy scout groups; retirement homes; nursing homes; March of Dimes; United Way; Cancer Society; genealogy groups; organizations for blind/deaf people; Alzheimer's Society's; Community Living groups (for disabled children/adults).....
Q: How do you add extra pages to a scrap book (it isn't a ring binder scrapbook)?
I'm new to scrapbooking and I was wondering to add extra pages to a scrapbook that isn't a ring binder.
A: If you mean a scrapbook like the K and Co ones there's two little screws that are in the folds of the spines if you undo these you can add more pages.
Q: How do I make my own tear bears for my scrapbook pages?
A: They are kinda difficult to make. I have a Sizzix machine which makes dye cuts and I can cut them out. But without that you may want to find something like a coloring book or a picture of a small teddy bear online - print it off and then use that as a stencil to make some. Or else you should be able to buy some pre-made ones pretty cheap on E-bay...or let me know if you need any Tigg1881@yahoo.com, I even have burgendy velvet (immitation) ones.
Q: how do iunscrew the screws in a scrapbook to add more pages?
i REALLY need help. maybe a tutorial or something? but, i bought a scrapbook at ac moore and i need to add more pages but the fancy screws confuse me. help?
A: The metal top of the screw should be visible from the back of the book. You can use a coin or kitchen knife to loosen the screw and add more pages. Most refill kits come with the extenders that just twist onto the existing screws to give you more room. BTW, I wouldn't put on more than 3 extenders in your book because then it becomes too heavy for the structure of most books. Good luck to you! Hedda
Q: I dont know what to do with my scrapbook pages???
I have a Hello Kitty scrapbook and I dont know what 2 do with the pages. I got it from my friend at my birthday party. I have Hello Kitty stickerstoo.
Help please best answer 10 points.
A: Well. I would start with picking some pictures from a birthday party. Pick 2 or 3 pictures for each page, you can cut the pictures in funny shapes, you can place stickers on the pictures to decorate them. Scrapbooking is all about using your imagination to make a memory. If your not very creative, then do a search online for scrapbooking. There are many resources to find information online. At least to get some ideas. It's all about how you want to do it, how you want it to look and what you want it to show. I hope this helps ya.
