Q: Where can I buy scrapbook supplies online that are inexpensive?
I've been bitten by the scrap-booking bug, but it's quite expensive! I am looking for a website that is cheaper than my local store.

A: You can always try digital scrapbooking by using the online scrapbook site CropMom. It's far less expensive than paper scrapbooking but the results are spectacular. I purchase the high-resolution JPEGs of my layouts and have them printed or print them out at home.

Q: Do you prefer shopping online or going to a lss for your scrapbook supplies?
What do you look for in a scrapbook store???

A: In Scrapbooking to me, you have too many little things to look at for embellishments, papers and such. It takes way too long to look at the stuff online. The only way I shop online for something to do with scrapbooking is if I am looking for something specific-like a set of rubber stamps, or tool of some sort. When you are at the store you can browse easily, you don't have to wait for the window to come up on the screen- even with DSL it still takes longer than I want it to. So when I am just out shopping, I would much rather go to the actual store. I love Hobby Lobby!

Q: How to make a scrapbook page with out too many supplies.?
I don't have alot of supplies and I can't go out what can I use to make a cool statue of liberty or field hockey themed scrapbook page?

A: use what you have and know if they are archival . Old magazines junk mail paper food coloring contact paper seal your work with a clear glue. candy wrappers cut shapes out field hockey ideas you make a rooster sheet and print on paper word search make the paper look like wood grain. pracitce a laying on color washes to get the effect you want.

Q: In your opinion, what is the best store to buy scrapbook supplies?
Jo-Ann, Scrapbook Warehouse, Michael's, Hobby Lobby....etc...?

A: From those choices, Hobby Lobby...but it really depends on the selection in your store & their special offers. Is Scrapbook Warehouse a local store for you? Usually, the local stores have the most selection & variety as well as newest items. I likely get 75% of my supplies from small scrapbook stores. Jo-Anns here has a VERY limited selection...older things and the only good thing there is their occasional 40% off coupon. Our Michael's has a very good selection of kits, paper sets & some embellishments. They aren't good at individual papers though and takes awhile to get something new in. Like Jo-Anns though, they have 40% off or more coupons weekly. Hobby Lobby's that I've been to have great variety, and also do some coupons. There are also some great places online like: http://scrapbook.com/ http://jennycraft.com/ Good luck!

A: I use these online sites often as well as discount stores and yard sales. http://www.OrientalTrading.com - this is online and catalog order. I order from these guys all the time, you get a large quantity of supplies at a very low cost. Just request them to send you a catalog or you can order right online. They have a great selection for all occassions. http://www.Target.com - usaully has great scrapbooking deals http://www.stampinup.com - go here and request to be contacted by a demonstrator and maybe even through a party. You will get free items for the party and discounts on products or you can purchase directly online. I use this company often for my scrapbooking supplies. Q: How much should I charge if I am making an 8x8 scrapbook for someone using thier supplies?
A co worker is supplying all the supplies, photos and album. I am using my time and my tools. How much is reasonable? And this is the first album I have ever done for someone else. Anyone ever made a book for someone else?

A: My friend did a 12x12 and charged $12 per page so I would say $8-10 would be sufficient. Good luck and have fun!!

does anyone know where I can find free scrapbook supplies, not stuff that I have to print or use digitally but real scrapbook supplies, sticker paper etc. Please send the links for anywebsites its muchlly appreciated. I am new to scrapbooking and finding the cost overwhelming but now I am hooked :(

A: I'd recommend signing up for your nearest freecycle or craigslist. I've seen people giving away scrapbooking supplies on there. For myself, I've made some good finds (stamps, scissors, stickers, etc.) at yard sales. These are usually 1/10 the price of the same item in a store.

Q: Where in San Jose california can you find stores that have cheap scrapbook supplies?
I live in San Jose, California and i was wondering if anyone else in San Jose knows of stores where you can get discount priced scrapbooking supplies. I love scrapbooking, but hate to pay such steap prices. I've found really good things at target (in the dollar section) and the dollar tree. Do you know of any places?

Q: I'm going to make a scrapbook for my father. What supplies do I need, (I'm on a budget.) and how do I make it?
I was thinking about punching holes in pieces of paper and stringing them up or putting them in a binder. I'll use a glue stick to stick on the pictures. Is that ok? I don't get to see my dad often, so I came up with this idea for a Christmas present.

A: First of all, outsource your family for pictures, newspaper articles, even favorite family recipes, saved greeting cards from holidays and birthdays etc, everyone will have something to contribute, right down to pressed flowers from funerals. Purchase one of those very inexpensive photo albums, from your local dollar store. just arrange the items in between the plastic in the pages, to keep them well preserved. You can decorate the cover with some cut and paste.if you like. The best cover, would be a picture of him in his young years. You can do it! Don't stop there . You have a very Good I idea. I always take pictures throughout the year and then buy inexpensive frames for a dollar or two and give them to everybody in the family as my Christmas gift to them. It gives a memory and it is the greatest, most appreciated affordable gift!
