Q: Looking for a wedding scrapbook?
I am having a destination wedding so i don't need a "traditional" book but something that says where it was who was there, all the details. Rooms for pictures, etc. Websites would be appreciated!! Thanks!
A: Shutterfly.com! You can pick either an 8x8 or 12x12 book, and they have two or three wedding themes already pre-made...all you have to do is drop in your photos and journalling! I've made one for each of my friends who've gotten married and they all loved them. The big ones are perfect for coffee table books!
Q: Should I make a wedding scrapbook?
My mother-in-law is getting married on valentines day so I am making her a wedding scrapbook with a valentines theme hearts etc. I have extra stuff and their is a girl at my work who is also getting married and I was going to use my left over stuff to make her a scrapbook also. I mentioned it to one of the other employees and she told me that it was a dumb idea and she wouldnt like it because she already has a wedding photographer who is making her a wedding album. Do you think its a waist of time?
A: i think making her a scapbook is a beautiful, personal, thoughtful idea. u should most certainly stick to your idea!! dont listen to that employee, s/he's probably the kind of boring person who would give the bride a mug or a blender
Q: I need an idea for my scrapbook?
I need help on a front page design, this book is anything from my son's births, to birthday and holidays. I have already completed a wedding scrapbook so I was unsure if I should start the front age with a wedding photo of my husband and I or do something different??? Please help!
A: What about a picture of you and your hubby before you were married and you can put "New Beginnings", "The Start of Something Wonderful", Our Completed Lives?
Q: Does anyone know of a place in Boston where I can purchase a beautiful wedding scrapbook? I can be pricey!?
A: Sorry, I don't know of a place in Boston, but have you tried QVC? they have a Wedding Scrapbook Kit, Silvertone - 12" x 12" for $35.83 + $5.97
Q: Anyone know where I can find this style of scrapbook -- online?
I am making a wedding scrapbook for my sister. I am looking for one that's black, leather-like, that has a small hole on the cover for a photo, holds pages at least 12 x 12, and can add more pages if need be. If you could show me a link to this product, I would really appreciate it!
Thanks! (Real answers only, please!)
Please only answer if you know of this specific product.
A: Here is one scrapbook; it is genuine leather and so is somewhat pricey ($45):

Another scrapbook, by Creatables, is faux leather, has a window, and is very cheap and easy to work with (I bought one for myself). It doesn't come in black, though; it comes in white and other colors:

or

(I'm not sure what the difference is.)

You're looking for a very specific scrapbook, so it might take you a while to find it. You might have to compromise on something...like, I really wanted a flowery scrapbook with only pink, purple, light blue, white, and yellow on it. Of course I didn't find it...so instead I bought a white one from Creatables, and am going to glue colorful ribbons and embellishments on the cover. That worked for me, but I am I and you are you...
so...good luck!
Q: What can I write to friends for their wedding?
I have to write a short thought for my friends wedding scrapbook. I can't think of anything! I would like to say something about love (obviously) and friendship.
A: Do you have a favorite moment with the two of them that you can write about? Something like:
"Remember that time when we all ________? I hope your life together is filled with happy moments like that.
All my love & best wishes for the future,
(your name)"
Maybe find a love quote or short poem? I like this one:
"You don't marry someone you can live with - you marry the person who you cannot live without."
-unknown
There are tons on this site: http://www.theromantic.com/lovequotes/main.htm
Good luck! :o) I hope your friends have a fabulous wedding and a long, happy marriage!
Q: Where can I fian some designs of wedding scrapbooks?
I Want to start my wedding creapbook, Im looking for some ideas
A: You can really do a mixture of wedding items from various places to put together your wedding scrapbook.
Wal-Mart, Michaels, Creative Memories, JO-Ann Fabrics, local scrapbook stores are all places where you may purchase albums, stickers, adhesives, pens/markers, borders and much more.
I highly suggest checking out Creative Memories. They have a wonderful and elegant line of wedding items to put together a beautiful wedding scrapbook.
Good luck and congratulations on your wedding.
Q: wedding/love themed scrapbook?
Okay- first tell me if this is cheesy,
I love scrapbooks, i think they're so cute and I was thinking for my sisters wedding shower to put together mini scrapbooks for the tables with pictures of her and her fiance. I love them more than printed picture books because you can personalize/detail them as much as you want.
Does anyone have any examples or ideas of what I could include? Maybe a cute quote or poem?
I'm totally new to the world of scrapbooking so anything will be helpful! thanks!
A: Whether or not it's cheesy depends upon the quality of the work you do. I think it's an idea worth pursuing if you are willing to do it up right.
You might find it a lot easier to do just ONE scrapbook that is on display for everyone. Doing one for every table seems a bit redundant and like a lot of work. In order to turn out a high quality product, you'd probably rather focus that energy on a single book.
Good luck!
Q: Wedding day scrapbook?
Are any of you keeping any of these? I.e. not just a photo album, but a scrapbook with samples of invitations, place cards, balloons, confetti, a newspaper clipping from the day, copies of the speech etc. What else are you putting in?
A: I am, for sure. I scrapbook as it is, though, tons of pictures of my son, my fiance, family and friends.
I'm keeping the flowing:
invitation
program
wedding announcement
pre-married photo (from the night we got engaged)
rose petals from my boquet
place card
menu
napkin
match book
ribbon from floral arrangements
top of box that our cake comes in
business cards of all vendors
hankercheif (something blue) from bridal shop
anything else I think of.
Q: Scrapbooking a themed wedding?
Okay, I need suggestions for putting my wedding scrapbook together. We did a Mexican fiesta theme for our wedding. When I first came up with that idea, I didn't think about the scrapbooking aspect of it. Now I have traditional wedding stickers in one hand and maraca, chili pepper stickers in the other. What's the best way to combine this? Any ideas would be appreciated.
A: What a fun way to celebrate your new lives together! I gave this some thought, and you can do this. The fiesta theme would have bold, bright colors while the traditional embellishments are going to be more neutral with gold and silver highlights. The two can blend on a page.
The way I'm envisioning this is using the traditional elements as highlights/accents on the pages. The gold/silver elements will work perfectly for this and will fit just about anywhere, even with chili peppers. The traditional stickers can be matted on a neutral piece of cardstock that also blends with the fiesta background. These would be best used on the ceremony pages.
For example, the background might be a bright color, with a few of the photos matted with coordinating paper. You might even have strips of chili peppers as a border on the page. Take a traditional sticker or two and mount them on a neutral piece of cardstock that coordinates with the main colors--this will be a nice transition that blends the traditional with the fiesta.
You can also do the opposite on a few pages, with the traditional being the primary color theme, and then adding a fiesta themed element matted on coordinating traditional colored paper.
Here are a few tricks to try:
--Make a tag in either theme colors and attach an accordion folded strip to include a mini photo album on the page. Make a ribbon or hemp string closure or use a velcro dot. These are like little surprises on the page. So it can be viewed without removing the page from its protector, make a window in the protector (cut a hole) where the mini album will be.
--For every page or layout, keep your focal theme intact by blending only a few elements of the traditional or fiesta into it.
--Mat a few elements and cut around them leaving a bit of a border. Mount these on the page with a PopDot.
--Mat other elements as tags and use ribbon or hemp on them as an accent. Mount some with PopDots.
--Use glitter glue with a light touch to add some movement and highlights (one of my favorite techniques).
--Hemp string as an accent will work nicely with both themes. You can also try using hemp and ribbon together in the same tie.
This sounds like so much fun! I hope you share a few of your pages when they are done; I'd love to see them.

Q: Wedding/Bridal Shower Scrapbook request Poem?
I'd like to send pages of a scrap book to friends and family for my friends wedding/bridal shower. I've heard that there's a cute "request" poem to send people along with the page (so that they know what to do). Can someone share this...PLEASE
